New series: Lupin III - Mine Fujiko to iu Onna

This series is one of those series where I don't skip the OP and the ED. The OP is fantastic, Fujiko runs around completely naked, and the song is terrific. The ED is also awesome, you never get to see the other side of Fujiko!

And this series is total awesome. Forget all the old Lupin III shows where Lupin III was a bumblehead, yes, especially in Castle of Cagliostro. Here he seems like a proper bored, rich thief, actually intelligent (he was never intelligent before) with the very understandable goal of wanting what he can't have. Mine Fujiko, who used to be a total bitch/useless side character/inconsistently portrayed as actually caring for Lupin in some cases now is consistently portrayed as a mature, somewhat twisted, beautiful woman with an aversion to intimacy. Jigen is just as cool as he always was. Goemon has a FUCKING AWESOME episode on a train where he meets Fujiko (all dressed up innocent-like!)!

You just can't go wrong with this series. This is what Lupin III should have been about all along. Fuck the movies, all respect to Castle of Cagliostro and Episode 0: First Contact, the only two ones really worth watching. Fuck the TV series, Charlie Kohei's voice was horrible in the OP and ED. Just watch this if you want the real Lupin III experience.
